The Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV) is a pioneer in designing and applying advanced technologies to transform urban and agricultural waste into valuable resources, including clean and reliable energy, organic fertilizers derived from organic waste, high-quality recycled materials, and biochar. In addition, SNV promotes market linkages for these products, facilitates carbon credit generation, and strengthens the capacity of local and national government agencies.

To bridge, or at least reduce, the significant information gap regarding the current and potential biochar market in Vietnam, this assignment was implemented to support SNV in assessing market opportunities for biochar. This activity represents an important component of the pre-feasibility study phase for potential projects.
