Mission Begins
Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre (VNCPC) established under project US/VIE/96/063, funded by the Swiss Government (SECO), implemented by UNIDO and Hanoi University of Technology. Core mission: disseminating Cleaner Production concepts and promoting pollution prevention in Vietnamese industry.
International Certification
First achievement of integrated ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification issued by SGS Switzerland. Quality and environmental management continuously maintained to present, affirming commitment to service quality and environmental responsibility.
Service Expansion
Phase 2005–2009: Continued SECO support via project US/VIE/04/064. Successfully conducted CP demonstration assessments at about 300 enterprises nationwide. Expanded services to include energy efficiency, energy auditing, and sustainable product innovation.
Independent Legal Entity
Three parties (Vietnam Government, Switzerland, and UNIDO) unanimously supported VNCPC's registration as an independent legal entity under the name Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre Co., Ltd., delivering public services toward sustainable production and consumption.
Expert Network
Built a nationwide network of core CP experts, integrating environmental protection services, corporate social responsibility, and industrial maintenance. Supported policy research and information dissemination.
Deep International Cooperation
Strengthened cooperation with EU, GIZ, SECO, UNEP, and World Bank. Became official member of the global UNIDO-UNEP Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production Network (RECPnet), affirming international standing.
Circular Economy & Net Zero
Pioneered Circular Economy solutions, greenhouse gas inventory and carbon emission reduction. Supporting enterprises in developing Net Zero roadmaps, meeting international climate change commitments.
Global Reach
After 25+ years, VNCPC has supported over 1,000 enterprises nationwide, affirming its position as a leading regional consulting center for sustainable production and green growth. Expanding specialized training and green digital transformation services.
